A 27-year-old Lebanon man has been charged with aggravated robbery of a convenience store, according to the O’Fallon Police Department.

Police say D’Mario S. Thompson robbed CC Food Mart at 1011 West Highway 50 in O’Fallon on May 17. Charges allege he indicated he had a firearm during the robbery.

A judge set Thompson’s bail at $75,000. As of Tuesday afternoon, he remained in custody in the St. Clair County Jail.

Capt. Kirk Brueggeman said surveillance footage helped locate Thompson. Footage from nearby businesses showed the suspect leaving the area. Police were also able to generate a vehicle description from footage and share it with neighboring police departments.

A Lebanon police officer spotted the suspect vehicle and notified O’Fallon police, Brueggeman said.
