She allegedly cut a woman at a MetroLink station, then got a faceful of mace, police say

A fight at an East St. Louis MetroLink station ended with blood and mace, then criminal charges.

Shalise T. Smarr, 39, of Cahokia, allegedly cut another woman in the arm and back with a sharp object in the parking lot of the MetroLink station at 5th Street and Missouri Avenue on June 21. The victim then sprayed Smarr in the face with mace, charging documents say.

Smarr was charged with two counts of aggravated battery in a public place and one count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
