Steeleville woman wins big money in lottery game

A Steeleville woman has won big bucks in the Illinois Lottery.

Lori Farris won $250,000 in the crossword lottery — the top prize for the game.

She bought the ticket at a Casey’s General Store in Chester, and plans to use the money to pay off debt, according to a post on Illinois Lottery’s Facebook page. Casey’s received $2,500, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

Farris, 56, has lived in Steeleville for 15 years.
