Police on Wednesday were holding a person of interest in the July 22 robbery at the Regions Bank on West Main Street.

Officers arrested Suntez L. Pasley, 45, on an unrelated outstanding warrant at about 10 a.m. in Caseyville, according to Belleville Police Detective Sgt. Todd Keilbach. Pasley is a person of interest in the robbery of the Regions Bank, 4800 W. Main St.

Witnesses said a man walked into the bank shortly after 11 a.m. and handed a teller a note and a bag, demanding money, Keilbach said. The teller filled the bag with cash, and the man fled. No one was injured.

Police were not seeking any other persons of interest in the robbery.

The outstanding warrant for Pasley was for an Illinois Department of Corrections violation of parole, Keilbach said.

Police asked that anyone with information call the Belleville Police Department at 618-234-1212, or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.
