A 52-year-old Collinsville attorney is vying to fill a vacant circuit judge seat in Madison County.
Marc Parker’s experience includes serving as a law clerk for both the Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court, working as a full-time prosecutor in St. Clair County and as a part-time prosecutor in Madison County.
He has also represented families in personal injury cases for more than 24 years and is the Collinsville Township attorney, according to a release.
“I became a lawyer many years ago to make a difference,” Parker said in a news release. “I’ve represented people (and) families in courts all over this great country of ours. I’ve seen firsthand the impact that fair, impartial, hardworking, knowledgeable and considerate judges can have on peoples’ lives and for society as a whole. He or she can make a difference for far more people than any single lawyer. That’s why I’m running for Circuit Judge.”
