Elizabeth Lambert, of Dupo, a student in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration program at Southwestern Illinois College, was selected for the Head of the Class award.
The award, presented by tool supplier Malco, recognizes perfect attendance, class participation and willingness to learn. It comes with a prize of a service tool kit from Malco.
All candidates for the Head of Class award are recommended by instructors.
HVAR Program Coordinator Keith Otten nominated Lambert. “Ever since she came into the program, her goal was to be working in the HVAR/sheet metal field. Now her goal is close in reach as she finishes up the HVAR program at SWIC,” Otten said in a press release.
