Someone is walking around with a lottery ticket worth a million dollars.
Missouri’s lottery officials announced that a Mega Millions ticket sold at a QuikTrip in St. Louis matched all five white-ball numbers: 4, 13, 31, 50, and 64. That ticket is now worth $1 million.
The ticket was purchased at the QuikTrip on Dunn Road, but the winner has not yet come forward, according to news reports.
Lottery officials advise that whoever has the winning ticket should sign the back and keep it in a safe place before claiming the prize. Experts also advise that lottery winners – of large or small jackpots – seek financial and tax advice regarding their winnings.
The winner has 180 days to claim his or her million, or until Feb. 28.
The next estimated jackpot is $61 million, or $38 million for the cash payout, with the drawing on Tuesday.
