Waterloo woman is killed on Missouri Interstate

A Waterloo woman who was driving in the wrong direction on a Missouri Interstate was killed after her vehicle ran off the road.

Lorraine D. Clark, 81, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:45 a.m. Saturday after her 2005 PT Cruiser went airborne off Interstate 255 in South St. Louis County.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the victim was traveling eastbound in a westbound lane when the crash occurred.

According to the state highway patrol’s report, the woman’s vehicle drove off the road and struck a fence before going airborne and then striking an embankment.
