People planning to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day festivities on Saturday are encouraged to use public transportation, according to a news release from Metro.
Events in St. Louis on Saturday include a St. Patrick’s Day Run and a parade, which is expected to lead to closed streets and traffic jams.
Race participants and parade goers may park for free at any Metro Park-Ride lot and take MetroLink to one of the five MetroLink stations in downtown St. Louis.
People can also take MetroBus to the Civic Center Transit Center and walk a couple blocks north to the parade route on Market Street, the news release said.
