After several days of mid-70s weather, the mercury will remain below 60 Tuesday for the metro-east.
The National Weather Service has forecast sunny skies for the day, though, with highs to reach 56 across the metro-east. Skies are expected to remain clear Tuesday night with temperatures falling to as low as 30.
But clear skies may soon give way to rain. There is a 20 percent chance of rain Wednesday and a greater chance of rainfall Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, with high temperatures forecast near 50.
