Rain, cold temps still on tap; sunshine, warmer by weekend

More rain and cold temperatures are expected throughout the metro-east on Thursday, with a warmup and sunshine back in the forecast Friday.

The National Weather Service is calling for periods of rain and a high of 48 on Thursday, with a low of 39 overnight.

Warmer temperatures but still cloudy conditions are forecast Friday. Temperatures are expected to reach 60.

Sunny skies are expected to return to the area on the weekend, with warmer temperatures.
