The Center for Diabetes Education at Memorial Hospital in Belleville is providing area residents free glucose finger stick testing from 9-11 a.m. in the lobby of the Orthopedic and Neurosciences Center on the Memorial Hospital campus.
Diabetes is a serious disease that affects nearly 30 million people in the United States and more than 25 percent of them — 8 million — are not aware they have diabetes.
Memorial Hospital’s Center for Diabetes Education offers diabetes self-management classes that are recognized by the American Diabetes Association and also sponsor a monthly Diabetes Support Group. For more information, call the Center for Diabetes Education at 618-257-4800.
