It’s going to be wet for a while in the metro-east.
There is an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms in the forecast throughout the day and into the evening hours Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The high temperature will be 55, about 12 degrees cooler than the high of 67 Monday. But the mercury will drop only two degrees to 53 overnight.
On Wednesday the temperature will rebound to a high of 70. But wet weather will still be a factor with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day and an 80 percent of storms overnight.

The likelihood of rain will last into Thursday morning. But the warmer temperatures won’t. The high will reach only 50. Overnight the low will be 31.
