Anyone looking for a job should be at the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center, 101 Jackie Joyner-Kersee Circle Drive, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Wednesday for a job fair. The event is hosted and sponsored in partnership with St. Clair Intergovernmental Grants Department, the Urban League of Metro-St. Louis, Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Delta and the city of East St. Louis.
Ruby Allen-Ellis, program manager and community liason with the East Side Health District, said this event “is the third annual job fair held in East St. Louis. And, with 1,100 walking through the doors last year, we are expecting nearly 2,000 participants this year.”
Allen-Ellis said there will be more than 60 employers and 25 support/resource service providers at JJK. There will also be an on-site computer with a printer and the web addresses of the employers for job seekers.
