Seven people were shot in six separate shootings in St. Louis over the course of Friday afternoon and into Saturday, police say.
On Friday afternoon, two men were injured in a drive-by shooting near Jefferson Elementary School at around 3 p.m., according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Both were conscious and breathing when taken to the hospital with one in critical condition.
Friday night, a man went to a St. Louis hospital around 11:50 p.m., saying he had been shot near Rutger Street and Ohio Avenue, Fox2Now reports.
Early Saturday morning, a female in her early 30’s was shot in the right side of her body at Aubert Avenue and Fountain Avenue just after 6 a.m, Fox2Now reports. She was conscious and breathing.
At 4:29 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a shooting in the 5900 block of Sherry Avenue in the Walnut Park West neighborhood, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. A man was found shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.
A man was shot at East Grand Avenue and 20th Street at 3:40 a.m. Saturday and was conscious but not breathing, according to Fox2Now.
Another shooting occurred at around 3:45 a.m. Saturday when a male was shot at 17th Street and Cass Avenue. He was conscious and breathing, according to Fox2Now.
On Oct. 1, six people were shot over the course of four hours in St. Louis, according to KSDK.
