Papa Vito’s opens in West Belleville

Papa Vito’s Pizza has opened its second Belleville location at 4205 North Belt West.

The opening was long awaited for the pizzeria, which has renovated a building that was the past home to Ken’s/Mazzio’s Pizza several years ago.

The West Belleville pizzeria is the third locale for Papa Vito’s, which has operated in Waterloo for the past two decades and opened its first Belleville restaurant downtown at 318 N. Washington St. in January 2011. You can reach the new restaurant at 618-416-7900.

Also on North Belt West, a used car dealer has left and moved to Cahokia. Savannah Motors has vacated the lot at 3827 North Belt West and relocated to 222 Water St. The business is now known as Auto City. You can call them at 314-249-4301.

Save A Lot is building a second store in East St. Louis. Construction is underway at 10 Vieux Carre Drive. You can find Save A Lot’s other East St. Louis store at 2600 State St. Across the street, Schnucks will be closing its East St. Louis store at 2511 State St. in two weeks, on May 2.

Kaleidoscope Kafe has recently opened its doors in downtown Belleville. Breakfast and lunch are served near an adjoining gift shop under one roof. You can find them at 121 E. Main St. or call them at 618-416-0606.

In Highland, a car wash has been purchased by an auto repair chain. John Eichenlaub, of BarberMurphy Group in Shiloh, represented in buyer, Meineke Car Care Center, in the sale of the car wash at 2126 Villa Park. Stay tuned.

And finally, Schnucks in Swansea is no longer open 24 hours a day. The grocery store recently changed its hours to 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.
