Don't worry, snow won't last long

The snow falling across the metro-east on Saturday morning wasn't expected to last long. The National Weather Service predicted accumulation of less than an inch for the St. Louis region.

SUNDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy early in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Chance of showers in the evening, then showers and slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Low in the upper 40s. Temperature rising into the 50s. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the evening. Chance of rain 80 percent. WASHINGTON'S BIRTHDAY...Windy, warmer, cloudy. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. High in the mid 70s. South wind 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent. MONDAY NIGHT...Breezy, warmer. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms. Low around 60.
