KETC-TV Channel 9 will air three episodes of the popular PBS show "Antiques Roadshow" that were filmed in St. Louis. Show times are 7 p.m. on Mondays, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 26.
The episodes were filmed last summer at America's Center. Admission was free, but people had to enter a drawing to get tickets. It had been 15 years since the show had come to Missouri, according to Fox2now.com.
This the 22nd season for "Antiques Roadshow," which the PBS website describes as "part adventure, part history lesson and part treasure hunt."
"Specialists from the country's leading auction houses and independent dealers offer free appraisals of antiques and collectibles," it states. "(Cameras) capture tales of family heirlooms, flea-market finds and items saved from attics and basements, while experts reveal the fascinating truths about these items."
"Antiques Roadshow" is the most-watched ongoing series on PBS, averaging eight million viewers a week, according to the website. It has been nominated for 15 Emmy Awards.
