Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation names new chief operating officer

The Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation has hired Mark Fryer as its new chief operating officer. Fryer joins the foundation after more than 20 years of experience working with the YMCA.

In a press release, Jackie Joyner-Kersee said, "Mark shares our sense of community purpose and understands our vision for the future. We’re very excited to welcome him, his wife Ann, and their three kids into the JJK Foundation Family."

Chapter chairman of the Illinois Credit Union League

Jay Stevens, of GCS Credit Union Member Solutions, has been elected as the Southern Illinois Chapter Chairman of the Illinois Credit Union League for 2018. Stevens will represent the interests of 15 counties of credit union members. This is the second time Stevens has been elected chapter chairman.

New Board of Directors members

Adriena C. Beatty, a certified obstetrician and gynecologist, was named to the board of directors for Memorial Hospital Belleville. She is the site leader for the BJC Medical Group at Memorial and lives in Shiloh.

Staci G. Clayborne, vice president for student development at Southwestern Illinois College, was elected to serve on the Metro East Services board of directors. She is also a national vice president with Carrousels, Inc. and lives in O'Fallon.

Kevin T. Hoerner, a partner and shareholder in the law firm of Becker, Hoerner, Thompson and Yursa, PC, was named to the board of directors for the Memorial Foundation. He serves as president of the East St. Louis Catholic Grade School Alumni and lives in Belleville.

Advanced practice registered nurse

Meghan Ziegler, an advanced practice registered nurse, has joined the team of HSHS Medical Group providers in New Baden and Breese. Ziegler completed her bachelor and master degrees in nursing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
