Police on Friday arrested a Salem High School student in connection with an investigation of social media posts, according to school officials.

Salem school superintendent Brad Detering said school administrators and its technology department were able to recover deleted electronic documents that suggested a threat to the school, according to a report by radio station WJBD.

The identity of the student was not released.
