The Mascoutah Police Department will host a "Safe Schools and Healthy Students" presentation from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Mascoutah High School Auditorium, 1313 W. Main St., Mascoutah.
Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, former Army Ranger and West Point psychology professor, will lead the presentation. He will speak on the topics of terrorism at schools, critical incident stress and youth violence in our society.
In a press release, Police Chief Scott Waldrup of the Mascoutah Police Department, said, "Lt. Col. Grossman is one of the most well-respected, proficient speakers I have ever heard in my 30-plus law enforcement career. (He) is passionate, intense and committed to reducing violence in our society and keeping our kids safe."
