Police shut down Martin Luther King Bridge to traffic Wednesday morning, resulting in significant traffic delays.

Police responded to a "shots fired" call on the bridge around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to KMOV. When they arrived, they found an abandoned car that appeared to be damaged.

Westbound lanes of the bridge were closed throughout the morning. Around 7 a.m, both lanes of the bridge re-opened, but slowdowns were still expected, KMOV reported.
