Nicholas Alsup can't personally thank every person who helped him get his truck back, but the grown man can show his jubilation by leaping for joy on a Facebook video.

The O'Fallon man's truck went missing on Feb. 5, and he quickly turned to social media. He asked friends to share that his truck was missing. Facebook users posted about possible sighting of the truck. It turned out that the thief had taken the truck to Tennessee.

"I really wanted to show my appreciation for everybody's hard work, the police, the FaceBookers... I'm very thankful," Alsup said on Wednesday.

Sarah Christianson, an amateur fighter who trains at Alsup's 5 Elements gym, took the video of Alsup, in which he runs and jumps to the tune of "Reunited" by Peaches and Herb.

"You ever play a tune in your head? And that was the first time I wanted to hear 'Reunited and it feels so good,'" he said.

The truck had about $3,000 worth of damage from "her" adventure to Tennessee, Alsup said. He didn't know of any arrest yet, but expects any eventual sentence to include "more problems" for taking the truck across state lines.

"I baby my truck," he said. "They were riding it hard, a rear oil leak, just a plethora of stuff... she's all fixed up now, and I'm happy."
