Rain, then temperatures, will fall in metro-east

Rain will fall Wednesday, then the temperature will fall later in the week.

There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast during the day Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. The high temperature is expected to be 80.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will decrease to 40 percent Wednesday evening when the low will drop to 64. The most likely time for rain will be before 8 p.m.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny Thursday with a high of 82. In the evening, there is a 20 percent chance of a shower or thunderstorm with a low of 62.

Temperatures will start to drop Friday when there will be a 40 percent chance of showers and a high of only 77.

Friday night the low will drop to 52 with a 40 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m.

On Saturday skies will be sunny with a high of only 69. It will be sunny with a high of 72 on Sunday.
