A 23-year-old Cahokia man was charged Thursday with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a 24-year-old man who was found on the corner of Williams and Ellen streets in Cahokia Saturday night.
Ramone C. Parker, of Miskel Street in Cahokia, was charged by St. Clair County State’s Attorney Brendan Kelly. Bail for Parker was set at $750,000.
Parker is accused of shooting Lamondo C. Brown who was walking in the area of Williams and Ellen streets Saturday night about 10:15 p.m. People who live in the area heard multiple gunshots and called police, said Dennis Plew, an investigator with the Cahokia Police Department.
Cahokia police requested assistance from the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis. Plew is serving as the deputy commander of the squad.
