A 22-year-old Washington Park man was charged Friday in connection to two retail thefts that were reported at Target in Shiloh.
The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Donavon D. Brady on Thursday with two felony counts of retail theft over $300. Shiloh police said Brady was in custody at the county jail on a state-issued warrant at the time he was charged.
In a news release, the Shiloh Police Department said it received a theft report on July 3 at Target, located at 3400 Greenmount Crossing Drive. Police said Brady was identified as a suspect during the investigation.
Brady was also identified as a suspect in a previous theft from the same Target location on April 25.
According to online court records, Brady has had multiple prior charges for retail theft in the metro-east, including alleged thefts as recent as 2016 and dating back to 2014 in Fairview Heights, Cahokia and Belleville.
Police said the warrant was reviewed recently by St. Clair County Judge Robert LeChien, and Brady’s bail amount was set at $30,000.
Brady remains in custody at the St. Clair County Jail.
