Grantfork news for the week of March 12

The yearly rummage sale will be held March 19-21. Hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19; from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 20; and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 21. Donations may be taken to the church and placed on the stage.

The UFO will be having a Bake Sale after worship on Sunday, March 29.

St. Gertrude Catholic Church

Tri-Parish office will be closed from through March 15. If help is needed contact St. Jerome in Troy at 667-6571.

The next in line for the Lenten Speaker Series will be “Jesus Story and Our Story.” This will be at St. Elizabeth Church in Marine, and the speaker is Father Barry Harmon.

Grantfork Elementary

If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, please call Alhambra Primary at 488-2200 to get them registered. Mrs. Hooks will get some basic information from you over the phone. Alhambra Primary is planning a kindergarten visitation day of Friday, May 1.

Julia English is the winner in the Young Author competition at Grantfork Elementary.

The PTO will have its next meeting on Thursday, March 19 at Grantfork School. The PTO will use the $1,220 that was made at the bowling tournament for safety and security fund for the Center Schools.
