Tip of the Hat: New Douglas Volunteer Fire Department thanks those who supported breakfast fundraiser

Thank you to everyone that supported and made our third sausage breakfast a success. We are so happy to host an event in our community that allows for a wonderful meal and a chance to visit with family and friends after a long cold winter.

As the cleanup came to a finish yesterday, the thoughts and pictures of the day warmed our hearts. The amount of work that gets done by the men, women and children of our fire department and community is incredible. Words will never give justice to how thankful we are for each and every one of them.

Thank you to Ron Hemann, Suzy Eilers, Corey Hemann and Korte Meats for taking care of the Sausage processing, cooking and delivery.

Thank you to Jim’s IGA in Livingston for taking care of us as always before, during and after with first-class service.

Thank you to Troy Frozen Foods for always having the supplies that we need and providing outstanding products.

Thank you to KTRS and special guest “Farmer Dave” Schumacher, WGEL, WSMI, and Gay Bentlage with the Highland News Leader for spreading the word.

Thank you to George Grindstaff and Midwest Sunray for our signs and banners.

There are so many “Thank yous” that I can’t possibly cover them all, but you know who you are, and without you, these events would never be possible.

The next breakfast will be Nov. 8.
