Highland area police briefs: Jan. 18-25

Highland man charged with battering child

Highland police charged Katlin J. Landmann, 30, of Highland, on Jan. 22 with felony aggravated battery of an a child. Police allege that Landman repeatedly hit a girl under the age of 13 on the buttocks, leaving bruises.

Woman faces meth charge

Highland police charged Kimberly M. Boatman, 41, of Highland, with possession of methamphetamine. Police allege Boatman possessed less than 5 grams of meth.

HPD warrant arrests

▪  Bejamin M. Melosi, 24, of Highland, was arrested by Highland PD on Jan. 20 on a warrant from St. Jacob Police for driving while having a suspended license. HPD additionally charged him with driving while having a suspended/revoked license. He posted bond and was released.

▪  Aaron L. Wilcox, 26, of Highland, was arrested Jan. 20 on an HPD warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of failure to report an address change as a sex offender. He was transported to the Madison County Jail.

▪  Justin A. Kutz, 32, of Highland, was arrested by HPD on Jan. 22 on a warrant from Troy Police for failure to appear in court on a charge of resisting a peace officer. He was turned over to Troy Police.

▪  Christopher W. Korte, 20, of Highland, was arrested by HPD on Jan. 22 on a warrant from Macoupin County for theft. He was transported to the Madison County Jail.

▪  Krista N. Brenner, 37, of Bethalto, was arrested by HPD on Jan. 23 on a warrant from Macoupin County for failure to appear in court on a speeding charge. HPD additionally charged her with driving while having a suspended/revoked license. He posted bond and was released.

▪  Courtney Lynne Y. Bridges, 21, of Highland, was arrested by HPD on Jan. 25 on a warrant from Troy police for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while having a suspended license. She posted bond and was released.

Jan. 18

▪  No tickets issued.

Jan. 19

▪  Charles R. Hackney, 24, of Gurdon, Arkansas, was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while having a suspended/revoked license, and possession of cannabis.

▪  Amy L. Cunningham, 33, of Pocahontas, was charged with theft for allegedly taking unspecified merchandise from Walmart.

Jan. 20

▪  Brenda K. Shellito, 44, of Highland, was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and having an expired vehicle registration.

Jan. 21

▪  William M. Coleman, 32, of Highland, was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

▪  Adam P. Schroedter, 34, of Highland, was charged with domestic battery for allegedly knowingly causing bodily harm to his girlfriend by picking her up and throwing her against a vehicle, causing her to fall to the ground, which resulted in her cutting her leg and caused bruising on her right elbow and left knee.

Jan. 22

▪  Rachel M. Finley, 36, of Alhambra, was charged with having an expired vehicle registration.

▪  Corey J. Smith, 18, of Belleville, was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

Jan. 23

▪  Zakary R. Huff, 29, of Highland, was charged with having an expired vehicle registration, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving with a suspended/revoked license.
