Paul C. Powers, 93, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Highland and Cahokia, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Spencer Place in St. Louis, Mo.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 8 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home in Cahokia. A funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. A graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 9 at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1921 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mr. Powers was retired from Pfizer Inc. in St. Louis, Mo., after more than 40 years. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was present at Pearl Harbor.
Surviving are his children, Carolyn Neff of Morton, Ill., Dallas (Louise) Ogletree of Oregon, Melissa (Bruce) Fischer of St. Charles, Mo., and Donald Ogletree of Cahokia; a sister, Marian Daniels of Highland; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Powers (nee Robertson); his second wife, Margaret Powers (nee Gulley); a step-daughter, Loretta Hefti; his parents; two brothers; and five sisters.
