Larry K. Lappe, 65, of Portage Des Sioux, Mo., died on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, April 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 3 Westbury Drive, in St. Charles, Mo. Moss Funeral Home in Breese in is charge of arrangements.
He was born on March 7, 1950 in Breese to Eugene “Pete” and Edith “Edie” (Frey) Lappe. On July 4, 1997, he married Debbie Little. She survives in Portage Des Sioux, Mo.
Mr. Lappe retired from the U.S. Postal Service Operations Program in St. Louis, Mo., and was a member of the Orchard Farm VFW Post 4219 and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing golf, cards, traveling, and going to the Fairmount Park racetrack.

Other survivors include his children, Chad (Valerie) Lappe and Nic (Angel) Lappe of Highland, Jason (Laura) Burckhardt of Cody, Wyo., Angela Hedges and Melissa (Rich) Long of Portage Des Sioux, Mo.; grandchildren, Rhyan and Anderson Lappe, Brevin and Griffin Lappe, Madison and Joshua Burckhardt, Brooke and Kayla Hedges, Hailee, Jordan, Kaitlyn, and Emma Long; his siblings, Jerry (Nancy) Lappe and Janice (Edward) Hemann and of Breese, Tom (Sheila) Lappe of Huntley, Ill., and Shelly (John) Cooper of Aviston; sisters-and brothers-in-law, Carol (Jon) Odle of Corsicana, Texas, Shirley (Steve) Ochs of O’Fallon, Mo., Ron (Martha) Little and David (Terrie) Little of St. Charles, Mo., Mel Little of Portage Des Sioux, Mo., and Karen (Guy) Olsen of St. Peters, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father- and mother-in-law, Marvin and Ruth Little.
