Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 in the community room at the Eden Village Senior Living Building, 300 S. Station Road in Glen Carbon. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at the visitation, with the Rev. Jerry Amiri, senior pastor of Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra, officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary Alhambra.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1924, the only child of William and Alma (Suhre) Dieselhorst.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Ramach. They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary last November.
Other survivors include sons, Kenneth Ray (Janice) Ramach of Devner, Colo., and Alan L. (Judy) Ramach of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Betty J. (Bill) Ewen of Franklin, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ramach was an outstanding friend to all and a successful homemaker, who enjoyed all aspects of life and lived it to the fullest.
She was blessed with the love and care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She traveled widely in the U.S. to visit children and grandchildren. She also took a trip to Japan and enjoyed a cruise at the Hawaiian Islands.
She was an active member of Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra and was a long-time member of the Sewing Circle group, whose members enjoyed gathering for breakfast as much as sewing. She also enjoyed the group activities and planned excursions at the Eden Village Assisted Living Center, which made her five years there very enjoyable and rewarding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Church of Christ, Eden Village Assisted Living Center, the American Heart Association, or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
