Charlene Cain, 76, of Carlinville, Ill., formerly of Centralia, Ill., died on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
A private celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 24. Heinz Funeral Home in Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on April 25, 1936 in Centralia to William W. Eagan and Dorothy (Gansauer) Eagan.
Ms. Cain was a secretary at Centralia High School and co-owner/operator of Cain Insurance & Real Estate. She was a lifetime member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. She loved University of Illinois athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include a sister, Cheryl (Brian) Boyd of St. Paul, Minn.; a son, Brent (Joan) Cain of Carlinville; daughters, Julie Inman of St. Louis, Mo., Robyn (Richard) DeMoulin of Venice, Fla.; grandchildren, Scott Cain of Carlinville, Lyndsey (Derek) Stayton of Carlinville, Kim Rossini (Jarrod) Herron of Gillespie, Ill., and Brooke and Alec Inman of St. Louis, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Jack, Luke and Sam Herron, and Sloane Stayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
