Fifteen O’Fallon High athletes earned the distinction of being among the best in the Southwestern Conference in their respective sports this past week when they received news they were voted to the 2015 winter sports All-SWC team.
The OTHS boys bowling team earned bragging rights for having the most athletes earning All-SWC honors. Five of coach Mike Imes’ bowlers made the cut. First team All-Conference awards were garnered by three of the five Panther bowlers. The first team selectees were: Bradley Solomon, Justin Hess and Andrew Orf. Significantly, all three O’Fallon first team bowlers are underclassmen. Two Panther seniors also were named as third team All-SWC bowlers—Justin Peacock and Destin Reid.
The Panther girls bowling team earned three all conference slots. Topping the list was junior standout Madison Kasza, who collected O’Fallon’s only first team spot. Kasza’s teammates—Alexis Toohey and Lanie Goldberg—were named to the conference’s second team.
Three was the magic number for O’Fallon Twp. High School’s basketball players as three hoopsters each were named to the All-SWC roundball All-Conference squads. Scoring star Donovan Franklin led O’Fallon vote-getters and collected the Panthers’ only first team honor. Fellow senior Darian McClain was named to the second team and junior Chance Armstrong earned a spot on the third team.

In the voting for the All-SWC girls’ team, O’Fallon did not have a first team player; however, their two super sophomores—Marta Durk and Celeste Akoro—picked up second team honors. Junior Becca Althoff made it a trio of OTHS honorees with a third team selection.
Nearly matching the OTHS boys bowling team, the Panther wrestling squad secured four all conference roster designations. O’Fallon’s top honor went to 195-pounder Quin Preston—named the top wrestler in his weight class. Second team award-winners were state-qualifier Keajion Jennings and 182-pounder Mason Hewit. Connor Drouin completed O’Fallon’s grappling quartet with a 3rd place All-SWC award at 220 lbs.
