The public is invited to a meet-the-candidates social sponsored by United Congregations of Metro-East at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at O’Fallon United Church of Christ, 206 W. Adams. Electronics Recycling Day
An electronics recycling day will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church (625 Saint Nicholas Drive, O’Fallon) east parking lot. Items that will be accepted include computer towers, battery backups, electronic motors, floppy drives, DVD and VHS players, computer fans and components, printers, mice, keyboards, speakers modems and cables. Large and small appliances also will be accepted (anything with a power cord). A slight charge will be applied for TVs depending on the size ($5-$20). Easter Egg Hunt

Schnucks in O’Fallon’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 10 a.m. (sharp) Saturday, March 28, at Schnucks, 907 E. U.S. Hwy. 50, O’Fallon. The age group is 0-10 years. Parents need to make sure they bring their cameras because the Easter Bunny and an O’Fallon fire truck will be available for kids to get their picture taken with. Other event notables include cookie decorating, face painting and food and drinks available for purchase. In addition, First National Bank of Waterloo will have their mascot UNO available for pictures as well.
.1 K Fun Run
Sgt. Charles A. Fricke VFW Post 805 in O’Fallon will sponsor a .1 K short/fun run Saturday, March 28, at Post 805, 221 W. 1st St., O’Fallon. The race starts at 10 a.m. This run will help veteran and military families through VFW Post 805 and VFW National Home for Children. Individual registration is $20 and team registration provides up to a $30 discount. Aging Care Expo
The First United Methodist Church, 504 East U.S. 50, O’Fallon, will host an Aging Care Expo beginning at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28. Representatives from local senior care providers will be available to discuss what they have to offer. Author Missy Buchanan will serve as guest speaker to talk about what she has learned talking and writing about helping adult children and their aging parents.
