Sandra Lynn Kabureck, 53, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, April 1, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1961. Sandy graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science, continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Creighton University and received a Master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. She was married to Mark Kabureck on June 24, 1994.
Sandy practiced as a Nurse Anesthetist in the local area and was the Chief CRNA at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for 3 years. She was praised as an excellent colleague and caregiver in her career. She was a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She was an avid traveler, active volunteer in the Little Panthers Football organization, gardener and animal lover.
She was survived by her husband, Mark Kabureck Sr.; her children, Mark Kabureck Jr., Josh Boivin, Megan Boivin, Charlie Kabureck and Sam Kabureck; her grandchildren, Mark Kabureck III and Anna Kabureck; and two dogs, Duke and Harley.

Visitation was Monday, April 6, at Schildknecht Funeral Home in O’Fallon.
Funeral service was Tuesday, April 7, at the funeral home with Rev. Christy Eckert officiating.
Interment followed at O’Fallon City Cemetery.
Schildknecht Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled the arrangements.
