Metro-East Pachyderm Club meeting: The Metro-East Pachyderm Club will meet at noon Feb. 9 at Bella Milano, 455 Regency Park in O’Fallon. Speakers will be Tanya Hildebrand, 57th Illinois Senate District candidate, and Rep. Charlie Meier, 108th Illinois House District candidate. Arrive by 11:30 to socialize and meet the candidates. Lunch and presentations by the speakers will begin at noon. You do not need to be a Pachyderm member to attend.
RSVP deadline for O’Fallon Township Senior Committee: The O’Fallon Township Senior Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 at the township building, 801 E. State St. in O’Fallon, for dinner and entertainment. The event is for O’Fallon Township residents only. Cost is $3. Tickets can be purchased at the township office. The last day to purchase a ticket is Feb. 9.

O’Fallon Township rummage sale: O’Fallon Township will hold its monthly rummage sale at the Township Building, 801 E. State St. in O’Fallon, on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 7 a.m. until noon. Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, plus household items will be available.

St. Michael’s pancake/waffle day: St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 111 O’Fallon Troy Road in O’Fallon, will have its 11th annual “Pancake, Waffle and Sausage Day” from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13. The all-you-can eat meal is $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-12, and kids 3 and under eat free. Carry-outs will be available. The event is open to the public, and the church is handicapped accessible. There will also be a 50-50 drawing and basket raffle.

Free Valentine’s Day breakfast: The public is invited to a free Valentine’s Day breakfast at Cambridge House, 844 Cambridge Blvd. in O’Fallon, on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 7 to 9 a.m. It will be a good time to invite friends and family to enjoy great food and fellowship with each other. Empty Bowl Luncheon: The O’Fallon Woman’s Club will have its Empty Bowl Luncheon fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 at Gateway Classic Cars, 1237 Central Park Drive in O’Fallon. Cost is $10 per person for a simple meal of bowl of soup, piece of bread, and water. Tickets can be purchased at the door, Wolfersberger Funeral Home, Unity Yoga, or Post, Pac & Ship in O’Fallon or from any Woman’s Club member. One hundred percent of the ticket proceeds goes to the O’Fallon/Shiloh Food Pantry.
NARFE Chapter 1019 meeting: The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1019 will meet on Feb. 14 in the meeting room at the Golden Corral, 3360 Green Mount Crossing Road in Shiloh. The buffet opens at 11 a.m., and club’s room is reserved until 1:30 p.m. This month has been designated as a social rather than a meeting. No formal meeting will be conducted to afford ample time to visit with friends and to share with other members. Guests are welcome to attend and learn about our organization. History museum open house: The O’Fallon History Museum, 101 W. State St., will have an open house for its coal mine exhibit from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18. Voter registration deadline: Illinois residents looking to vote in the upcoming primary election need to be registered by Feb. 20. The primary election, held on March 20, will include selecting nominees for governor, attorney general and congress. Anyone wanting to register to vote, who had a name change, or changed their address may visit the St. Clair County Clerk’s office at 10 Public Square in Belleville.
