COED BASKETBALL REGISTRATION
Youth interested in playing basketball can register at the Scott Youth Center through Oct. 31. Ages range from 5-16 years old (as of December 2016). Cost is $50 Members and $70 Non-members. Volunteers are needed to sign-up as coaches. Volunteers will receive mandatory training plus $50 towards their child’s next sport enrollment fee. Please complete a coach’s packet at the Youth Center or contact Al Bromley, 256-4984/5139, for more information.

FALL FEST AND CHILI COOK-OFF
Team Scott is invited to attend the 2nd Annual Fall Festival Chili Cook-off and Bake-off from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Parade Field. The event will feature live music by Starlifter from Band of Mid-America, a bake-off, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, hay maze, jump castles, punkin chunkin competition, hay rides, cake walk, hot dogs, trebuchet competition, cotton candy, and more. OAP: LEARN TO ROCK CLIMB
Learn to rock climb with the Outdoor Adventure Program and the professional climbing guides from Vertical Voyages on Oct. 22. Spend the afternoon working on climbing technique in a safe, fun-filled environment with climbs for every skill level at Fern Clyffe State Park. No experience necessary. Bring along a sack lunch, snacks and water. Adventure is open to all (ages 12+). Contact Outdoor Recreation for pricing. Buses will depart Outdoor Recreation, Bldg. 3176, at 7 a.m., returning around 6 p.m. Registration required. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone have an old electronic items sitting in the garage/shed they no longer need? Boy Scouts of America-Troop 40 out of Shiloh is hosting its annual Electronics Recycling Event from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 22 at Klucker Hall in Shiloh (address: Shiloh Community Park, 14 Park Drive, Shiloh).
