A Belleville man was charged Tuesday in connection with the murder of Edrick Wicks, who was shot and killed May 8 in East St. Louis.
Glendon Nettles, 42, was arrested on the day of the shooting and was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
Wicks, 38, of East St. Louis, was shot and killed just three blocks from his home, near the intersection of Piggott Avenue and South 15th Street. St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. said it appeared Wicks got in an argument prior to the shooting.
Nettles’ court date has not yet been set.
