The escaped inmate sought by St. Louis County police is believed to have stolen an Imo’s delivery car when he fled from an area hospital.
Bruce Brutsman, 36, was taken from the St. Louis County Justice Center in Clayton, Missouri on Saturday morning after allegedly swallowing a battery. According to a police statement, he was able to escape from a St. Louis County correctional officer while under supervision from medical professionals and fled on foot.
Police now say that Brutsman allegedly stole an Imo’s delivery car from the 5800 block of Hampton Avenue during his flight from the medical facility. Police identified it as a four-door 1997 Toyota Tercel. The car is white with black bumpers and displays a Missouri license plate with the number SK8R4K.

Brutsman is described as 6-foot-6, weighing 240 pounds and is considered armed and dangerous. He was in custody on charges of burglary and property crimes.
