East St. Louis man sentenced to 3 years in prison on gun charge

William A. Moore of East St. Louis pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections for being a felon in possession of a weapon.

Moore, who was convicted of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer in 2006, admitted to carrying a .38 Taurus revolver. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years by St. Clair County Circuit Judge Robert Haida.

Belleville Police Department investigated the case. Assistant State’s Attorney Christopher Allen prosecuted the case.
