East St. Louis man arrested in robbery of Granite City credit union

Granite City Police have made an arrest in the robbery of Granite City Steel Credit Union that took place on Tuesday.

According to police, a man handed the teller a note demanding cash, left with it and got away in a maroon sedan driven by another man at about 1:22 p.m. Tuesday.

The Madison County State’s Attorney’s office has charged Ricco L. Young, 39, of East St. Louis with one count of robbery of a financial institution, a Class 1 felony.

Madison County Associate Judge Neil Schroeder set bail at $200,000.
