A Shiloh woman is in the St. Clair County Jail after she was arrested Friday for allegedly battering her juvenile son.
According to a release from the Shiloh Police Department, Kelly M. Thompson, 30, of the 100 block of South High Street in Shiloh, was arrested Friday after police responded to Shiloh Middle School for a battery report.
“The juvenile victim reported the incident to the school, who in turn reported it to us,” Shiloh Police Chief Jim Stover said Monday afternoon. Stover said the 14-year-old boy received a medical examination as part of the investigation.
County court records indicate the incident happened at the South High Street residence on Feb. 12.
Kelly remains in custody on a $30,000 bond and is charged with aggravated domestic battery, a Class 2 felony. She’s next due in court on Wednesday.
Shiloh Village School District 85 officials couldn’t be reached for comment Monday.
