Three Belleville businesses failed an underage liquor check by the Belleville Police Department last week.
Belleville police conducted an underage liquor check at 12 retail businesses on Oct. 4. Three businesses sold alcohol to minors who were working with the police department: Circle K at 10 South Belt West; Stoney’s Sports Pub, 3001 W. Main St.; and Laser Rock/The Edge, 701 South Belt West.
Businesses that passed the test include the BP Food Mart on Lebanon Avenue; Circle K at 421 South Belt East; Midwest Petroleum on Carlyle Avenue; Ron & Michele’s Centerfield Tavern on East A Street; Spike’s Pub & Grub on West Main; Stop-n-Save on Old St. Louis Road; BP Amoco Gas Mart on South 74th Street; Circle K at 6001 W. Main St.; and Midwest Petroleum at 7406 W. Main St.
The three businesses that were not in compliance were cited by Belleville police. The statement by the police department, posted on its website, said the department would continue to monitor and test alcohol compliance in area businesses.
