Police chase robbery suspects from St. Louis to metro-east and back

Police chased robbery suspects from St. Louis to the metro-east and back into Missouri during the Tuesday evening rush hour.

According to police reports, the suspects were being followed by officers when the driver noticed he was being followed and tried to flee at high speed.

The pursuit started at the Germania exit of Interstate 55 in St. Louis and wound its way into East St. Louis where the suspects were tracked by officers on the ground and from above in a helicopter.

The driver returned to downtown St. Louis where he pulled into the parking garage of a hotel at Chestnut and Fourth streets.

Three other suspects were arrested in relation to the case at North Market Street and Broadway, according to police.
