About 100 left without power after car crashes into pole in Cahokia

An accident in Cahokia left about 100 customers without power Sunday morning.

Early Sunday morning, a car crashed into a pole which had a transformer on it on Illinois Route 3, Cahokia Police said.

The outage occurred around 3:48 a.m. and shut off power for about 116 customers, according to Ameren Illinos' power outage map.

Ameren was on scene around 9:30 a.m. and the estimated restoration time was 12:45 p.m.

Information on the condition of the driver was not immediately available Sunday morning.
