Police search for suspect after bi-state chase

Police were searching for at least one man after a bi-state chase Sunday night into early Monday morning.

The chase started in the Cahokia and Dupo area when police began pursuing the vehicle, which had at least two people inside, Illinois State Police Capt. Timothy Tyler said. Cahokia police pursued the car across the Poplar Street bridge and into St. Louis around 12:30 a.m.

KMOV reported the chase began when the car refused to pull over. Eventually the car stopped in St. Louis on Michigan Avenue.

One woman was arrested and a man was still at large, Tyler said.

KMOV reported the woman, who was possibly a minor, was also taken to a local hospital for injuries.

Police were not immediately available for comment on Monday morning.
