The three suspects in custody related to their alleged involvement in the Saturday shooting death of Kenneth Easley of Shiloh have been charged.
The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis announced in a statement Thursday evening that Michael L. Jackson, III, 20, of Shiloh, Rasheen D.L. Brazier, 21, of Belleville and Javier B. Anthony, 17, of Belleville each face a single murder charge.
“As speculated by the investigators from the beginning, all three suspects had some association to Mr. Easley and robbery was the motive,” the statement said. “This was not a random act of violence. Easley was the primary target of the suspects.”
Jackson and Brazier remain in custody at the St. Clair County Jail. Anthony has been charged as an adult but remains in the St. Clair County Juvenile Detention Facility. Bonds were set at $1 million each.
Shiloh Police were dispatched at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday to the apartment building at 22 Yorkshire Lane, where officers found Easley, 26, lying outside.
