A South Carolina man faces charges after police said he approached three teenaged boys in the Skyview Drive-In bathroom, exposed himself and asked for oral sex.
Blaine P. Zdybel, 32, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., was charged on Monday with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, one count of indecent solicitation of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and two counts resisting a police officer. All the charges are misdemeanors.
Belleville Police Capt. John Moody said officers were called to the scene about 8:35 p.m. Saturday.
“When we arrived employees from the drive-in had him detained on the ground near the concession stand,” Moody said.
The charges stated Zdybel exposed himself to a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, and asked a 16-year-old boy for oral sex. The offense occurred in the bathroom of the Skyview Drive-In.
Zdybel then pushed Belleville Police Officer Zach Wood who was trying to arrest him, the charges stated. He then refused to get into Police Officer Elizabeth Sandy’s squad car.
Zdybel was arrested during Slashfest at the Skyview. The event featured a Misfits tribute band. On one screen, the movies were children appropriate, “Gremlins” and “Hotel Transylvania.” On the other, the movies were “Halloween” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” At midnight, the drive-in showed “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” on one screen and on the other “Evil Dead” and “Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness.”
After Zdybel was taken into custody, Moody said he was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained from drive-in employees.
Neither Wood nor Sandy were injured during the arrest.
Moody didn’t know why Zdybel was in the area.
Zdybel remains in St. Clair County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
