Deputies pursued one subject Thursday night near Dutch Hollow Village in Belleville after authorities received a report of an armed individual fleeing the scene after a domestic disturbance call. It is unclear from where the call originated or what led to the call.
Scanner traffic reported the fleeing individual, a man, was armed with a shotgun and took off in a blue Chevrolet S-10. Reports said the driver struck a couple of guard rails during the process of fleeing.
At around 10:30 p.m., the S-10 was located by authorities in a wooded area behind a residence on Goldfinch Drive. Authorities said through radio reports that the man took off on foot.
St. Clair County Sheriff's Office received assistance from Belleville police. Authorities were continuing to work to locate the man as of 10:45 p.m. Thursday.
